Microsoft Copilot Studio lets you build your own agent by describing what you want it to do. No developers needed. This bite walks the path from a sentence to a published agent.

By the end you'll know the four moves: describe, add knowledge, test, publish.

2 The build

From a sentence to an agent

Describe it
Enter a short description of what you want — up to 1,024 characters. Copilot Studio drafts a name, description and instructions.
Add knowledge
Give it a source to draw on: a public website, SharePoint, an uploaded file, and more. Name each source clearly.
Test it
Use the test chat. Ask a question, change the instructions or knowledge, ask again.
Publish it
Select Publish, then add channels — Teams, Microsoft 365 Copilot, SharePoint, a website.

Worth knowing: a trial licence lets you build and test, but not publish. New agents use Microsoft sign-in by default.
